Let’s not talk about the fact that the Yankees lost two out of the three to the lowly Toronto Blue Jays this weekend and all but killed their chances of winning the American League East. Let’s just watch in awe as Aaron Judge stares down Mark McGwire’s rookie record of 49 home runs.
Judge’s season has been incredible to watch and while he did have a period of time when he was in obvious pain and the home runs all but disappeared, he seems to have gotten his groove back just in time for the playoffs.
Now, it is important to note that Judge would have tied the rookie mark yesterday if this triple would have been correctly called a home run.
As you can see, MLB’s replay system still needs some work.
