Tuesday night’s game was fun.
Well, the ninth inning was fun. Watching Justin Verlander strike out 14 is not fun but watching Gary Sanchez connect on an 88 mph slider from Ken Giles and hit it 423 feet is a lot of fun.
It was also a pleasant surprise. The Yankees as everyone knows have had issues scoring in Houston so getting three runs on one hit was a nice solution to the not scoring in Houston problem. They added a run on a wild pitch and Aroldis Chapman struck out the side to close the game for the Yankees’ first shutout win of the season. The good thing about a shutout in Houston is not having to hear that damn train horn.
Can we have two more shutouts, please? Thanks.
