I'm not so sure about what you mean by your first point...I mentioned that it "seems that the two outfielders have matured," and my concern is injuries (he's never played more than 103 games in a season). He has impressive raw tools, but hasn't been able to translate it into the game.

In terms of Refsnyder, maybe he deserves a shot, but I'm trying to predict what will happen, not what should happen. The Yankees didn't use Refsnyder last year when they had the worst second baseman in the majors by WAR, so I have trouble envisioning them giving him an extended shot this season.

When will you writers ever tire of writing about a kid's inability to adjust to perceived stardom? You build them up with all of the articles telling them how great they are, then destroy them when they act out. It's been awhile now, in the case of Heathcott, and I'd just like to mention that he might be the overall best prospect in the Yankee outfield, if not the best outfielder, head to head. The kid is at least a four tool player, and his power could still develop. In his short stint last season, he showed his ability to play the game. Trading Gardner for starting pitching and replacing him in LF with Heathcott would be a wise thing. Judge won't play in the Stadium until September, if.

The Yankees don't need a 2B nearly as badly as they need starting pitching. Give Refsnyder his shot to play everyday, at the ML level. If he fails, make a deal.
